The Apostolic Oneness Network was founded by the Presiding Bishop Jeremiah Reed Presider of the Christ Apostolic Temple, Inc. Fellowship (CATIF). The vision that God gave to Presiding Bishop Jeremiah Reed was to provide a television network established exclusively to enable the Apostolic ministry to preach the Apostolic doctrine in the fullness fo truth.
Our goal is to uphold the teachings of Jesus Christ and his apostles, because only Jesus died to take away the sins of the world. We believe through the scripture that Jesus Christ is the head of the body, the church, the Almighty God, the Everlasting Father, and the Universal King. We believe that everyone must be born again to enter into the Kingdom of God (John 3:3,5). The new birth ("being born again") includes a genuine repentance. In order to experience the new birth, one must be baptized in water in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ by immersion, and be baptized witht he Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of the Lord gives utterance (Acts 2:1-4, 36-38). Once an individual receives the Holy Ghost we are charged to live a Holy life "Be ye Holy, for I am Holy" (1 Peter 1:16).
According to the Bible, we believe that one must "come out from amoung them and be ye separate" (2Cor 6:14-17). Therefore we do not mix, believe, nor support the ecumenical movement. As the scripture states in Deuteronomy 22:9-10:
"Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou has sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled. Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together."
According to the dietary laws (Deut 14:1-8), the ox was a "clean" animal, but the donkey was "unclean." Even more compelling was the fact that these two different animals couldn't plow a straight furrow. Their temperaments, natural instincts, and physical characteristics made it impossible. As with seed, God is protecting his people's food. |
