The Satellite used is the Optus B3 at 152E.

| Is using this service on the optus B3 satellite legal? |
It is entirely legal, as the channels are “Free to air”, the same as your everyday TV, channels SBS, 2, 7, 9 & 10 etc. Therefore, by receiving the service, there will be no legal re-percussions, considering there are no subscription fees.

| Can I use my austar or foxtel dish to receive this service? |
In most instances you can utilise an existing dish, as long as it is not being used to receive a different service.

| Can I receive the Australian Christian Channel on the optus B3 satellite? |
The ACC is only available through subscription to Foxtel.

| Is there an on-going or monthly fee? |
No! There is only the cost for the purchase of the equipment and the installation. The channels are free to air therefore there are no subscription fees or ongoing charges. Once it’s set up, you own it.

No, you do not require a smart card to receive the Christian channels.

Yes, this is possible. A second dish and some other parts are required.

Yes, more than one TV can be connected. A second satellite dish is not required, only a second set top box.

Yes, this is possible. However, you have to be watching the Christian channels on both set top boxes for it to work.

| What is the turn-around time for the installation? |
Once the booking is received, our office will phone you to book the installation at a time convenient to you. This can usually be within two weeks of making the booking.

Yes, most set top boxes are compatible and can be used to receive Christian Satellite TV.

| For DIY do you need any specific skills or qualifications to install it or could any "home handyman" do it? |
The installation itself could be performed by a handyman. The difficult part is tuning the satellite to receive the channels. For this, I would recommend someone who has experience in installing antennas.

| Would I have a clear picture at all times? |
As it is a satellite service, the picture will be very clear at all times. Occasionally heavy clouds or rain may disturb the reception for a moment, but once that settles, it will return to normal.

| Do the programs have Teletext? |
Unfortunately, there is no Teletext service with the Christian Satellite TV.
